Dean has played with the Whitekaps since they started in 1981.

Side projects include a band called Quarter Pound and various other bands in and around the Inland Empire. He's had skate-ramps in his back yard, goes wake-boarding all the time, and he sometimes thinks he is a hippie ... so we often have to remind him that he is a surf punk. 

He also has a dog called Spencer that he keeps locked up in a small concrete dog-run in the back yard.  Spencer can't dig.  If you are an animal rights activist, you should send him an email and complain.
